The Pentagon announced in a statement that six US F-15 jet fighters have landed in Lithuania to strengthen air patrol in the Baltic area. The US Defense Department had previously announced that it will increase military cooperation with Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic countries. The DOD stated that the USS Troptson is currently in the Black Sea and in a joint maneuver with Bulgaria and Romania.
Poland stressed that the UN intends to send 12 F-16 fighter jets and 300 personnel to this country next week. On Wednesday, the US gave news that, in reaction to Russia’s aggression, it will increase military cooperation with Poland and other Baltic countries.
