Al Arabia TV, 2 Oct, 2012 – In relation to allegations against Hezbollah’s military aid to the Syrian regime, in Lebanon the funeral ceremony of Mohammed Hussein al-Haj Nosayef Shams, also known as Abu Abbas, Commander of the Hezbollah Military Organization in Lebanon, who was killed in a planned ambush near the city of Homs, was announced. Nosayef was killed in a confrontation with Syrian revolutionaries in Homs’ Ghassir neighborhood.
According to information at hand, the Free Syrian Army in an ambush using an EFP (explosively formed projectiles), targeted Abu Abbas’ convoy that led to the death of him an a number of other Hezbollah members. A number of his associates were also injured. Hezbollah announced the death of Nosayef, yet only said that he was killed on duty.
