In a statement the Institution of Iraqi Shiite Jafariah asked for annulment of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) from the European Union and US terrorist lists.

Part of the Statement reads: Iranian national resistance won when the verdict of the UK appeal court for removing the terrorist designation of the PMOI was issued. It is the victory of the Iranian people who are under the suppression and dictatorship of the Velayat-e Faqih’s despotism; it is the victory of nationalistic, truly, and transparent struggle and perseverance of the PMOI. This victory proved the world that the terrorist designation of the PMOI was unjust and had no legal and realistic basis.

Institution of Iraqi Shiite Jafariah hopes that the freedom and peace loving countries of the world take a firm stance against the mullahs’ regime, which is the axis of evil and terrorism in the region and the world, before it is too late. We also ask the President Bush government to remove the PMOI from the list of terrorist organizations which is totally unfounded.
