Iraqi premier: We will see corrupt figures behind bars

Iraqi Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi held a press conference referring to the obstacles before the reforms process and said, “… some people promise you chaos, I say no, there is no catastrophe ahead. A catastrophe occurs when we surrender ourselves… if we stand and resist, we will come out stronger than ever before,.”
The Prime Minister referred to Maliki’s theft and taking advantage of public property and said, “… when we took over the government there was only $3 billion left in the treasury, while we had a debt of $15 billion… the country’s wealth are no one individual’s private property… one cannot take advantage of the people’s property in the elections to buy support. This is corruption and must be held accountable… corrupt figures don’t leave any traces behind… however, God willing, we will some of them behind bars…”
