Iraqi Politician Denounces Iran’s Meddling in Iraq

On March 13, Al-Rafedian T.V. quoted the member of the Iraqi Accord Front, Dr. Ahmad Suleiman as saying: By arming and supporting the armed militias, the Iranian regime is causing sectarian trouble and social split in Iraq and by misusing the instability in this country, it has stolen our southern oil assets.

In reply to a question about the Iraqi government’s measures in this regard, he said, “the threats of Iranian interventions in Iraq are not hidden to anyone. We have warned earlier several times about this matter, but most of the politicians did not pay attention and claimed that there were religious intentions behind our warnings. But at the present time the Iranian meddling in Iraq is clear for everyone. The Iraqi government is a weak government and unfortunately has no role on the scene. The members of the government speak as if the Iranian regime is an neighboring state with positive interventions. Unfortunately the Arab countries are aware of the extent of interventions by the Iranian regime in Iraq but they keep silent.”
