
A large parliamentary conference was held in one of the main halls of British House of Commons with the presence of some of most prominent representatives of both Houses.
Lord Waddington, former British Home Minister, and Lord Corbett, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Free Iran were co-chairs of this conference.
In this conference the representatives including Lord Archer, former British prosecutor, and Lord Clarke, former Labor Party leader, asked for ending appeasement with the clerical dictatorship and adoption a decisive policy against the religious fascism.
In this parliamentary conference, representatives of European country’s embassies in London , representatives’ aids, human rights personalities and activists and media reporters were present.
Lord Waddington said: The POAC Court, after a very accurate and complete investigation about the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), voted that proscription of this organization had been perverse and must be dismissed and ordered the Home Secretary to present the Parliament, the annulment of the PMOI’s proscription.
Lord Waddington said: This verdict made us happy but we were surprised by the government’s decision to challenge this verdict.
The next speaker, Brian Binley, member of House of Commons from Conservative Party referred to invalidity of PMOI’s terrorist labeling and said: We ask the government to put in force the POAC verdict immediately and unconditionally before it is obliged to do it.
The next speaker was Baroness Knight, representative of House of Lords from Conservative Party, who expressed her strong support of the PMOI and said: I want to tell you I am with you to the end in the path of struggle.
Then Baroness Blood, member of House of Lords from Labor Party referred to the regime’s brutality and violation of human rights in Iran and said: The Iranian Resistance has not yielded to these crimes and hasn’t given up its democratic demands. The PMOI is in the front line of the struggle for achieving democratic change in Iran. This is quite clear that we have to support Mrs. Maryam Rajavi and the third option presented by her.
The next speakers were Lord Clarke, former leader of British Labor Party, Baroness Verma, representative of House of Lords from Conservative Party, Mr. Massoud Zabeti, chairman of Committee of Iranian -British Lawyers, Baroness Turner, member of the House of Lords from Labor Party, Lord Archer, Former British Prosecutor, Roger Gale , Member of House of Commons from Conservative Party, David Drew, Member of the House of Commons from Labor Party, Mr. Hossein Abedini, member of the Foreign Commission of the NCRI.
The last speaker was Lord Corbett who emphasized: The government’s duty is quite simple and clear. They have to implement the verdicts of the POAC and European Court of Justice. The Iranian Resistance is our ally in hideous struggle against fundamentalism ruling Iran.
At the end of conference, a statement was released to the media by the Parliamentary Committee for Free Iran.
