Iraqi militias sent to support Bashar Assad under Iranian plot, says senior Iraqi tribe leader

According to a report broadcast by Iraq’s al-Tagheer TV, religious and tribal leaders of this country condemned a fatwa issued by mullah Kazem al-Haeri in Iran on dispatching militias to Syria to support Bashar Assad.
“This fatwa is an invitation to sectarianism,” said senior Iraqi Mufti Sheikh Rafe al-Refaei.
Sheikh Ali Hatam, leader of the Doleim tribe, described this fatwa as an Iranian plot against the nations of Iraq and Syria, adding, “Through this fatwa the Iranian regime proved the Iraqi tribes have the right to be concerned regarding the Syrian people.”
Al-Tagheer TV added, “Maliki’s militia forces in Syria fighting alongside Bashar Assad have reached nearly 15,000.”
