Recent reports indicate Maliki’s government has executed seven inmates. Al Jazeera TV cited Iraqi officials announcing during the past few days the death sentences of seven inmates have been carried out. These prisoners were all put to death under the pretext of the fight against terrorism.
These executions are taking place while the United Nations has placed Iraq as topping the list of countries with the highest number of executions across the globe.
