Hundreds of people in Iraq’s Diyala Province located northeast of Baghdad took to the streets on Friday, August 14th demanding political reforms and a serious fight against financial and administrative corruption.
Demonstrators gathered outside the provincial council at Baquga, the province capital, and expressed their support for the reform measures taken by Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to open all corruption cases.
Similar demonstrations were staged in other cities across Iraq.
