Iranian Meddling in Iraq is Unacceptable, says Allawi

In an interview with Al-Mustaqbal Daily, published in Lebanon, Ayad Allawi, former Iraqi Prime Minister warned against the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraqi internal affairs.
He announced Ahmadinejad’s remarks unacceptable as saying in his visit with Maliki that opponents of the present Iraqi government are corrupt and ’corrupt on earth’, and regarded Maliki’s silence in this regard unacceptable.
Ayad Allawi also described Ahmadinejad’s statement that ’Iran is prepared to fill a ’power vacuum’ in Iraq after the coalition departs’ as a great insult to Iraqi people and the people of the whole region and said, ’I am confident that if the Iranian regime continues this strategy, it will regret.’

’There is no government in Iraq right now that is capable of establishing military and security national organizations,’ Allawi added.
