Sixth week of hunger strike of Liberty residents and Iranians in five countries for the freedom of 7 Ashrafi hostages

Based on documents newly obtained from inside mullahs’ regime and presentable to courts, hostages are under Maliki’s control

The hunger strike of Liberty residents that started on September 1st following the massacre and mass execution of residents of Ashraf is in its sixth week. The strikers demand immediate release of seven Ashrafi hostages who were abducted during the Iraqi forces’ raid on Ashraf.

Based on the most recent documents obtained by the Resistance from inside the Iranian regime, the hostages are under Nouri al-Maliki’s control who personally orders their relocation and changing their detention place or the guards. These documents are presentable to any international tribunal.
Physical conditions of many strikers are adverse. They are suffering problems such as headache, dizziness, digestive problems, skeletal pains, blurred vision, loss of hearing, and sleep disturbances, and have been hospitalized.

Iranians in Geneva, London, Ottawa, Berlin, and Melbourne are continuing their hunger strike. They are also suffering similar problems. A number of them have been sent to hospital over recent days, some of whom have been hospitalized due to their dire conditions being under special medical care.
While reminding U.S. and UN of their official and written commitments with regard to the Ashraf residents, the Iranian Resistance calls on them to take immediate action for the release of hostages who are all protected persons under the 4th Geneva Convention, asylum-seekers and people of concern.
