The Associated Press reported on Friday citing US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter saying Washington has reason to believe four Russian cruise missiles landed not in Syria, but in Iran. Carter went on to add technical failures were the reason for this incident.
AP said this was the first remarks made by a US official on the inability of Russian cruise missiles.
Ashton Carter revealed the US-led coalition will not cooperate with Russia in the war against ISIS, stipulating no collaboration is possible as long as Moscow continues to attack other targets in Syria.
