Iranian Arabs arrested in waves in Ahvaz and Shadegan

A wave of arrests is continuing by the Iranian regime against Iranian Arab youths in the cities of Ahvaz and Shadegan. According to obtained reports on Saturday, April 5th, the regime’s MOIS intelligence agents arrested 13 youths in Shadegan on charges of actions against national security. Those arrested were transferred to Nawa prison in the town of Mahshahr.
From Saturday, April 5th, to Monday, the 8th, a number of Ahvaz youths were also arrested by MOIS agents in Khuzestan and transferred to various prisons. In one case 31 Ahvaz residents were apprehended and transferred to Karoon Prison. Furthermore, in the Khalaf Abad region 14 local residents were detained and transferred to Ahvaz’ Sepidar Prison. Recently 9 residents of the southwestern Iranian city of Abadan were transferred to site 2 of Karoon Prison, facing security charges and propaganda against the state.
