A diplomatic source in New York said the United Nations Security Council has a plan on Syria this month which includes two parts.
One part is to refer the status quo to the International Criminal Court, and the second is to implement the resolution on sending humanitarian aid to besieged areas inside the country.
France, United Kingdom and the United States are demanding referring the Syria dossier to the ICC. France in an unofficial UNSC session will discuss human rights violations and humanitarian issues in Syria and seek an investigation on the UN report on torture and executions in Assad prisons.
It is worth noting that the UN Security Council is waiting to receive the UN Secretary-General’s second report on implementing the resolution of humanitarian aid in Syria.
