Political activist and prisoner, Abbas Lesani’s wife, Roghiye Alizadeh, has been called by the Ardebil public prosecutor’s office to appear in the court “to provide explanations.”
Abbas Lesani had previously been arrested by security agents on Wednesday, July 22, while heading to his office. He has been exiled from Ardebil Prison (northwest Iran) to Shiraz Prison (central Iran) to spend one year behind bars.

In the most recent development on Monday, February 15, Roghiye Alizadeh received court orders to appear at the assistant prosecutor’s office in a matter of five days “to provide some explanations.”
It is worth noting that Mrs. Roghiye Alizadeh was once before summoned this month to the regime’s so-called courts in the city of Ardebil.
