Abbas Kazemi, deputy oil minister in Rouhani’s cabinet, said one of the reasons behind increasing cancer cases in Tehran and other large cities is that domestic-produced gasoline in Iran’s petrochemical sites cause cancer.
“The environmental standards of imported gasoline are much higher than the gasoline produced by Iran’s own petrochemical plants,” he said.
Under the pretext of self-reliance on gasoline production, the mullahs’ regime has assigned its petrochemical plants to produce gasoline domestically and the consequences for ordinary people are a rise in cancer cases and other illnesses.
