The conditions of a number of burned and injured inmates in Shahr-e Kord Prison are reported as very dire. They are currently hospitalized in a hospital outside of the prison. A number of those injured are Iranian Arabs and Ahwaz locals who were detained in exile in Shahr-e Kord Prison. Furthermore, 4 of the inmates who lost their lives during this place were from Ahwaz.
It is worth noting that during this arson the Iranian regime’s criminal authorities deliberately blocked any aid and help, resulting in 11 inmates losing their lives.
