In Syria news rebel forces in east of Damascus and the Ghazaliya district near Damascus International Airport gained major advances in recent attacks, Orient TV reported. These forces were able to take over a number of Assad forces’ bases.
The rebels intend to besiege the Damascus International Airport. Therefore the Ghazaliya district east of Damascus has witnessed the heaviest battles recently. The most important goal for the residents in this operation is to block the logistics routes for Assad forces from this airport.
