August 19, 1953 is the anniversary of infamous coup against the only Iranian legal and democratic government headed by Dr. Mosaddeq. The object of this coup which was planned and financed by direct foreign intelligence services carried out by thugs and streetwise and supported by reactionary mullahs was to bring Shah back to power.

The conspiracy of the coup was planned long before August 19. The first Coup operation failed and Shah escaped from Iran, but the second and final step was performed on August 19 by distributing $ 390,000 among some corrupt clergies and Army commanders and officers.

The mercenaries first set up riot an clashes with Dr. Mosaddeq’s supporters in Baharestan square, in front of parliament, and then took control over government institutions including Radio station; then they attacked Mosaddeq’s home and ransacked and demolished it.
