Clashes in Yemen between popular resistance forces and Houthi militants in most fronts in the city of Ta’izz are continuing, Al Jazeera TV reported on Sunday, August 23rd. Units of the National Army and popular resistance forces defeated an offensive launched by Houthi militants in the Rabi’a district located in the western parts of Ta’izz. Simultaneously Arab coalition warplanes launched major airstrikes on the city of al-Hadida in western Yemen. Clashes in different fronts continue while convoys of armored vehicles and military machinery have crossed the Saudi Arabia border and entered Ma’rib Province. Hundreds of tanks and armored vehicles, along with nearly 25,000 troops have reached Ma’irb Province.
