Yemen: popular resistance forces advancing in Ma’rib Province

Popular resistance forces strengthened their positions and control over the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait in Ta’izz Province, southwestern Yemen, with support provided by Arab coalition warplanes, and are now heading towards Port Mokha in northern Yemen, Al Arabiya TV reported on Friday. Coalition warplanes are pounding Houthi positions and units of troops loyal to ousted dictator Ali Abdullah Salah near this port.
These forces have also suffered heavy casualties in Jafina and Sarwah. The Houthis are sending support from Sana’a to these areas to save their forces. Arab coalition warplanes have been successful in destroying these supply lines through a series of air attacks. This airstrike was carried out against a number of paths connecting Sana’a and the Sarwah region. These raids left numerous positions belonging to the Houthis in the Heilan Heights northwest of Ma’rib Province severely destroyed.
