While negotiation efforts by UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General in Yemen affairs continue Muscat, the capital of Oman to present the plan of the government of Yemen to the Houthis, Yemeni sources said the Houthis have described the demands of the legitimate Yemen government as being in contrast to a peaceful solution, Al Arabiya.net reported on Tuesday, May 25th.
The plan presented by the legitimate government emphasizes on the unconditional implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2216.
The UN envoy has also in his proposed plan emphasized on executing all Security Council resolutions on Yemen and demanded a permanent ceasefire.
