Two Koreas agree on deescalating border tensions

Senior North and South Korean officials reached an agreement on Tuesday, August 25th to decrease border tension along the Demilitarized Zone.
High level negotiations aimed at deescalating tensions between the two countries began on Saturday and reached an agreement last night, with a statement published in this regard.
The crisis between the two Koreas flared last Thursday when the soldiers of the two countries exchanged fire and South Korea responded by installing huge loudspeaker sets on the border and broadcasting propaganda against North Korea.
South Korean newspapers reported North Korea has apologized for the incident of placing mines on the border regions.
