Yemen

One year ago Houthi militants had conducted a coup d’état on September 21st, 2014 and attacked government institutions with armed men taking over the capital in Sana’a. They carried out these measures under orders issued by their puppet masters in Tehran and in cooperation with troops loyal to ousted dictator Ali Abdullah Salah. However, the brave people of Yemen rose to the resistance against these rebellions.
Houthi activities in Yemen from 2004 to 2010 was limited to the mountains of Sa’dah Province, the northern tip of the country.
They were able to expand their forces to Sa’dah Province and in 2011 they occupied the city of Sa’dah. They went on to open another front in Jawf Province north east of Sana’a, and along with elements loyal to ousted dictator Ali Abdullah Salah they were able to completely take over the province.
In February 2014 the Houthis advanced towards Omran Province and took over army bases and their weapons with the help of troops loyal to ousted dictator Ali Abdullah Salah.
All these preparations paved the path for their path downward towards the capital, Sana’a. On September 21st, 2014 they were able to take over all government institutions and centers in the city. They then advanced to encircle the Presidential Palace and forced President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi into house arrest. He was then able to exit the city and reach Aden.
Four months after the Houthi occupation, popular resistance forces were able to return Aden Province to the legitimate government, turning it into the center of resistance and National Army units in order to begin liberating other provinces in southern Yemen.
