Al Rafedein TV (Iraq), 1 Dec 2013 – In response to a call made by popular movements and the youth, a widespread demonstration was held in Ziqar Province in the south on Saturday against Nouri Maliki’s policies.
This call for a demonstration was made after Maliki’s forces attacked demonstrations in Ziqar Province on Friday, dispersing the crowd by force and arresting over 22 demonstrators in one square alone.
Maliki’s repressive forces demanded large amounts of money from the families of those arrested for their release.
