Javad Khalilzad, a well-known human rights activist and director of Interior ministry in Afghanistan issued a statement in solidarity with the hunger strikers in Camp Liberty. He also condemned the brutal execution style killing of 52 unprotected members of the Mojahedin in Camp Ashraf by the criminal Maliki forces.
He said that the United Nations and the US President must take urgent action to put pressure on the Maliki government to hasten the release of 7 Iranian hostages in Iraq.
