Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice blamed the Iranian regime for destabilizing the world.
The VOA reported that Secretary Rice in a speech at the Air University (at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base) said that the United States and the entire free world have a vital interest in the victory over violent extremism, and the destabilizing behavior of Iran, and these are among intentions of the United States toward freedom across the globe.

In his briefing, the State Department spokesman said that one of the reasons that the United States is purusing the missile defense system plan is to attain the ability to counter the threat from of Iranian missile program either with atomic or conventional warheads.
