The US Army announced on Monday that in an operation in Baghdad, it had captured 15 members of special groups affiliated to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

D. Nelson, MNFI’s spokesmen explained that the sensitive and accurate intelligence led to an operation in an area where the commanders of an important network connected to the Qods force of the IRGC had movements to.

He pointed out that the network included special groups that provided money and arms for Iraqi militia forces in order to carry out armed operations against the US and Iraqi soldiers.

D. Nelson added: This network also had communications with other armed forces, and based on the US intelligence information, its elements were involved in arms smuggling from Iran to Iraq.
