The US Ambassador in Lebanon warned that the Iranian regime by financing the Hezbollah has formed a government within the legal government of Lebanon; and they are trying to take the control over the peace and war in that country.

Geoffrey Flatman added that he has high respect for the Lebanese brave people who overcame their historical differences and called for and end to the occupation of Lebanon by Syria. He also expressed his hatred over continued attack on democratic organs of Lebanon in a bid to return the “decision makings” to Damascus and its allies.

He also said: If the Lebanese were to decide between two options of a closed government similar to Gaza authority backed by Iran and Syria or an open and democratic government, I am sure they will choose the latter.
