United Arab Emirates (UAE) has carried out new measures for implementation of international sanctions against Iran.
According to Financial Times, published in London, UAE, based on new goods exporting control regulations has imposed special investigations on shipments sent to Iran, such that she confiscated cargo of a ship which had encroached the UN sanctions last month.
Nasser Hashempour, vice chairman of the Iranian Trade Council in Dubai said: The companies residing in Emirates have found out that the international banks encounter more cautiously in releasing credit for Iranian goods, the Emirate’s banks avoid releasing credential for Iranian banks and that is why the Iranian companies can’t bypass the US sanctions.
In the meantime, US officials said cooperation of these two countries on the Iranian regime is very high.
Tom Casey, US State Department’s spokesman, said: We ask all countries not to withhold efforts to prevent expansion of Iranian regime’s nuclear programs.
