Turkey and Germany Plan to Test Smart Anti Missile System

German and Turkish Armies are planning to test a new sophisticated defensive and smart missiles system next week. The test is meant to meet threats by Iranian long range missiles, VOA reported.

The Turkish news agency reported that the defensive missile system which consists of Sky shield 35 anti air missile system made by Lockheed Martin Corp. and another kind of US made anti-missile smart system are going to greatly reduce the threat by the Iranian Shahab 3 missiles which can reach targets all over Turkey. The anti air smart missile systems are going to be installed by 2009 in Turkey which experts point out they would considerable escalate Turkish air defensive ability, especially against long rang missiles.
