The US Treasury has slapped fine on Royal Bank of Scotland for violating Iran’s sanctions. The Bank has violated sanctions on Iran, Cuba, Sudan and Myanmar and has been ordered to pay $133 million. According to the US Treasury this bank had tried regularly to cover up payments regarding transaction with Iran from 2005 to 2009, a move that violates Iran sanctions.
