Syrian opposition forces advance and control western part of Al-Assad Suburb in Aleppo

Aleppo, Syria, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 28/10/2016 – The area of 1070-apartment and around the project 3000-apartments are the scene of violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the rebels of the opposition forces. Fath al-Sham Front, accompanied by the sound of two violent explosions, one of them at least was caused by detonating the fourth booby trapped vehicle, under the heavy shelling of support forces preceded towards those areas which is still continuing. Violent clashes continued on the outskirts of Al-Assad Suburb which stretched from Jam’eyyat al-Zahra’a west of Aleppo city to the southern outskirts of the city, between the rebel, Fath al-Sham Front and the Islamic Turkestan Party against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them from Syrian and Iranian regime.


Syrian opposition forces managed to achieve further advancement and control the western part of al-Assad Suburb. The rebels also took the control of a checkpoint manned by the regime forces in the carton plant area, earlier on Friday, October 28, 2016. Confirmed information about more human casualties in the ranks of both sides as the result of the clashes, explosions and the aerial bombardment.


The clashes followed violent exchange of shelling between both sides which destroyed and damaged a vehicle and caused casualties.


The rebels also targeted places controlled by the regime forces in Ratyan village in the southern countryside of Aleppo. On the other hand, the regime forces opened fire using heavy machineguns on areas at the town of Hayan in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
