Syrian National Coalition President Ahmed al-Jarba visited the European Parliament and said not taking serious action to overthrow the Syrian regime allow Assad to continue the massacre and destruction, adding the world must not fuel such a regime that murders its own people and talks of terrorism.
Assad and his regime have placed over 1.5 million people under siege in Syria, he said in his speech, continuing the delivery of water, food and medicine to besieged areas must be the international community’s first priority.
He also called on the United Nations to issue a resolution under the framework of Chapter 7 to have the blockade imposed on these areas lifted, and he asked the UN Security Council to issue binding resolutions under which all foreign militants and paramilitary forces must exit Syria.
The goal of the Syrian revolution is to establish a civil and free government in a country that its regime supports terrorism.
