Armed Syrian opposition fighters were able to down a Russian drone in the skies of Khan al-Assal near Aleppo, Orient TV reported on Thursday.
Furthermore, opposition fighters killed ten Assad elements in heavy clashes near Barij, located north of Aleppo, and were able to take over their positions, the Aleppo Fatah operations room reported. These fighters also destroyed a heavy machine gun and an armored personnel carrier belonging to the Assad army.
