Syria: opposition fighters continue resistance in Zebdani, attack Assad troops in Aleppo

Syrian opposition fighters are continuing their resistance in the city of Zebdani near Damascus, inflicting even more casualties on Assad’s troops and Hezbollah fighters.

Opposition fighters in Damascus said a number of Hezbollah agents and Assad forces were killed in recent clashes against the rebels in the city of Zebdani. The rebels defeated the enemy’s attacks against their positions. After this blow Hezbollah members were forced to retreat to the western mountains towards the Lebanese border.
Simultaneously Assad’s fighter jets conducted intense airstrikes against residential areas in Zebdani, while helicopters targeted the neighboring town with 12 barrel bombs.


The rebels also conducted a successful attack against an Assad base in Aleppo’s Khalediya district.

In various areas of Aleppo intense fighting erupted between the rebels and Assad forces. The Syrian opposition fighters were able to conduct an infiltrating operation and attack an Assad base in the Khalediya district of Aleppo with hand-made bombs.
This district also witnessed intense clashes where the rebels used heavy machine guns, anti-aircraft cannons and main battle tanks to target the positions of Assad’s forces.
Similar attacks were also taking place in other Aleppo neighborhoods.
