Mostafa Osu, Vice President of the Syrian National Coalition said the stance of those countries who are friends of the Syrian people is that Bashar Assad will have no role in the new Syria and/or the transition period, media reports said on Sunday, August 30th.
The attempts made by Iran to place Bashar Assad as an option in the talks and negotiations in the region must be defeated, he added. Any talk of Assad being a part of the campaign against terrorism is a deception, Osu continued.
