
Al Arabiya reported on Sunday the casualties suffered by the Lebanese Hezbollah, especially in the Syrian town of Zebdani, is significantly on the rise. A number of Hezbollah commanders and special forces were seen amongst these casualties. Hezbollah has lost 250 commanders and troops in various clashes across Zebdani, which have been raging on for a month now.
One of the most recent Hezbollah special forces members killed in action was Hossein Rateb Mehran in clashes against Syrian opposition fighters.

In other reports, Al Arabiya reported Syrian opposition fighters have escalated their attacks against Assad forces in Hama Province. These rebels were able to make advances in various areas and pro-Assad forces were forced to flee the areas.
Local sources said Assad’s positions are currently in the range of Syrian opposition rebels. The Syria News Network said heavy battles between the fighters and Assad forces continued for completely control over an electricity station.
