Strategic evaluation needed regarding Hezbollah militants in Iraq

Basel Hossein, Vice President of the Iraqi Center for Strategic Studies said in an interview with al-Arabiya al-Hadath on Sunday, September 6th: “Hezbollah militants in Iraq are more dangerous than anything else for the Iraqi government. These militants are in direct contact with Iran and Tehran pays special attention to them.”
“Iraqi Hezbollah has a secret organization and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes is overseeing their ranks and files, and Iran is paying special attention similar to that of the Lebanese Hezbollah,” he added.
“The Iraqi Hezbollah plan is to establish an Islamic state similar to the Iranian regime in Iraq and therefore it is the most dangerous militant force in Iraq because it forms one of the most flagrant tools of the Iranian regime in Iraq, and that is why Tehran provides it with the utmost support,” Hossein continued.
