Senior Iraqiya Coalition member Ibrahim al-Mutlak called on this coalition to depart from Nouri Maliki’s government.
Iraqi MP Ibrahim al-Mutlak called on the leaders of this coalition to follow Iraqiya Coalition leader Ayad Allawi in departing from a government that does not respect national participation, Iraq’s NINA news agency reported.
“The situation that the Iraqiya Coalition is in obligates Iraqiya faction leaders to follow Iraqiya Coalition leader Ayad Allawi’s lead in departing the government that is not faithful to national participation,” al-Mutlak said.
Allawi announced on Thursday he will not accept the lead role of the National Council of Strategic Policies because Maliki’s government is not obliged to political agreements in this regard.
