Mahmoud Othman, the Iraqi Member of Parliament from the Kurdish faction rejected Khamenei’s remarks and said: “The allegations of the Iranian regime against the United States regarding training of terrorists in Kurdistan region are wrong allegations and are only a political maneuver by Tehran to reproach the foreign parties that exert pressures on Iran, reported Al-Mashreq daily on May 20, 2009.

Mahmoud Othman added: At the same time that Khamenei was making allegations against Americans, Hoshyar Zebari, Iraqi Foreign Minister was in Tehran and also the Iraqi Kurdish villages were exposed to heavy cannonade of the Iranian regime’s artillery; these are the unrighteous behaviors that cause surprise.
