Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jobeir said in a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shokri in Cairo after their meeting, “Relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia is powerful. The leaders of the two countries emphasize on strengthening the bilateral relations. We as officials are working on strengthening our historic and strategic relations.”
“Commuting of leaders between the two countries have increased in the recent period and the last meeting was carried out between the Saudi Defense Minister with Egyptian President Abdulfattah Sisi, and such meetings pave the grounds for new horizons in the strategic relations between the two countries,” he added.
The Saudi Foreign Minister emphasized on forming a joint Arab military force and added he hopes this force will be established soon after it was agreed in an Arab leaders summit.
