Bad storm is being blamed for toppling a construction crane at the Grand Mosque in the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
The number of victims in this incident has reached to at least 107 dead, while 238 others are injured, Saudi officials said. Most of the victims were Indian and Pakistani nationals. Local authorities blamed a storm and severe rains for the fall of the crane on the large crowd in the sacred mosque.
Khalid al-Feisal, emir of Mecca, immediately issued orders for an investigation committee in this regard.
This unfortunate incident happened days before the largest religious gathering in the world, where millions of Moslems perform their annual Haj pilgrimage.
