Clashing parties in Yemen reach agreement on negotiations in Oman

The United Nations Security Council discussed the crisis in Yemen in a closed-door session, Al Arabiya TV reported on Thursday, September 10th.
UN envoy to Yemen Ismaeel Walad Sheikh Ahmed presented a report via satellite feed from Riyadh, informing the UN Security Council the legitimate government in Yemen, Houthi militants and troops loyal to ousted dictator Ali Abdullah Salah have agreed to conduct direct talks in a Middle East country, most probably Oman, prior to the Muslims’ Eid al-Adha in late September.
