In an interview with the Rafidain TV, Sheikh Kadhim Abdulwahed al-Anzan, al-Anzan’s tribal sheikh in Basra, called the terrorist Qods Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) as the cause of killings and assassinations in Iraq and asked for standing before these crimes.

He said: Anybody in Basra who isn’t a supporter of the Iranian regime will be targeted by the terrorist gangs who have no relation with Iraq. These assassinations are organized and include Shiites, Sunnis and Christians; of course, Sunnis in Basra are exposed to sectarian purge; even the other Islamic forces who aren’t affiliated with the Iranian regime are exposes to danger. The Iranian Intelligence is active in southern Iraq full fledged.

He added: There are organs in Iraq who are functioning in favor of the Iranian regime. These are connected to Qods Force and the IRGC and the Iranian Intelligence Ministry. We have never heard that the forces affiliated to the Iranian regime be targeted.
