
The BBC World reported that Imad Fayez Mughniyeh, the famous terrorist and Hezbollah’s supreme security commander was killed in a car bomb explosion in the Damascus district of Tanzim Kafr Susa Tuesday night, Feb. 12.
Imad Mughniyeh was involved in bombings of Beirut in 1983 and abduction of western citizens in Lebanon during 80s. He was the 12th in the list of the most wanted terroristists of the United States. He also led the passenger plan hijacking of flight number 847 of TWA airways in 1985.
In an announcement Hezbollah held Israel responsible for the incident… later on Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert rejected any Israeli involvement in assassination of Mughniyeh in an official statement.
The Al-Jazeera TV interviewed another famous terrorist of Hezbollah Annis Naghash in Tehran via phone. Naghash said: “Imad Mughniyeh was one of the top commanders of Lebanese Hezbollah and was among the commanders of last summer war in Lebanon.”
According to information from inside the Iranian regime, Imad Mughniyeh was recruited and was in organic connection with the Qods Force.
The Italian daily Corriere della Sera reported last year in February: “Imad Mughniyeh a top military branch leader of Hezbollah and Mustafa Rabiee a commander of Qods Force started jointly a plan to recruit new members and reconstruct shelters in south of Lebanon and Beirut. They also started training courses for sophisticated weapons. New rockets such as Fajr 3 and 5 and Zelzal 1 with range of 125 to 240 Km are among weapons for training.”
Imad Mughniyeh was involved in terrorist bombing of Buenos Aires in 1994 along with Iranian regime’s terrorist agents. The plan for the bombing was approved in a meeting in presence of Khamenei and Rafsanjani in Mashhad in Iran. The Argentinean court issued arrest warrant for him along with other agents of Iranian regime involved in the blast.
