Ahmad al-Alwani, Chairman of the Iraqi Parliament Economy Commission warned Maliki’s government if it refuses to respond to demonstrators’ demands, the protesters will resort to other options.
“Demonstrators insist on continuing their gatherings and rallies in the future until their demands are fully met,” he said in an interview with Iraq’s NINA news agency.
“Our experience with Maliki’s government is in killing time and evading and providing empty promises. This is the best reason prooving the government will not respond to the demonstrators’ demands,” he said.
