Tariq al-Mahdawi, one of the founders of the National Front for Diyala Salvation, was assassinated in a criminal act by the terrorist Qods Force mercenaries.
He had been abducted last November by the Qods Force and his body was recently found by his family.

Tariq al-Mahdawi was one of the defenders of Iraqi people’s human rights and one of the most prominent personalities who was active against the mullahs’ regime’s meddling in Diyala province.

He once said that the nationalist, patriotic and freedom-loving spirit was his motivation to get closer to the PMOI. He had participated in many sessions and conferences held in Ashraf and had delivered speeches.

Tariq al-Mahdawi was also among a member of the Iraqi National Dialogue Front who, along with other Diyala’s main political currents, had formed the National Front for Diyala Salvation.
