In an interview with the INTV, Dr. Khaled Issa Taha, chairman of the ” Lawyers Without Borders” that its center in England, called the explosion of the Ashraf City water pumping station a criminal act and emphasized: The Iraqi government is responsible for the security of Ashraf vicinity, and any malfunction in this responsibility is a crime which must be accounted for.”
Taha added: ” The reality is that the role of mullahs’ regime is quite clear in such kinds of incidents; explosions and murder of innocent people, particularly those who try to overthrow the mullahs’ regime is a known issue; this government doesn’t want well-being and peace either for Iranian people or for any other nation.; this is a criminal act which is unjustifiable, unrealistic and unsound.
Q: Considering the PMOI’s political refugee status in Iraq, how do you assess this measure as a veteran person in law?
Dr. Taha: Firstly the Iraqi government, namely Maliki, should be strongly protested, because it is responsible for security and safety and stability of Ashraf region as well as all over Iraq; any malfunction in this responsibility is a crime and the government must be accounted for.
Secondly, a complaint should be submitted to the international organizations and UN delegation and UN Secretary General, and a comprehensive legal committee should be formed which I can assume its chair in order to adopt necessary legal measures to present requests to the relevant authorities either in Europe or in Iraq.
