Over 200 migrants have been reported drowned after rescue operations ending for a boat carrying migrants that capsized recently in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. These migrants were most Syrian citizens that were forced to flee their homes due to the Assad regime’s drastic and brutal crimes.
Italian rescuers say nearly 370 passengers of this boat were rescued and 25 bodies were pulled out the water.
An international migration organization says this year alone over 2,000 people have lost their lives in Mediterranean waters, most fleeing war stricken countries in the Middle East and North African states.
